Usually I'd expect at least one item on three entrees to be a little lackluster, but absolutely no detail was skipped over here. Wow! I came here for Saturday brunch and ordered three entrees for myself as I'm on a OMAD diet. It’s no surprise there was empty seats at noon on a Sunday afternoon. I’m actually surprised this location is still open. I’ve eaten at greasy spoon diners that cost 1/2 the price and tasted WAY better with exceptional service. I can get a REAL steak across the street at the steakhouse for that price that is prepared and looks 1000x better than this. Then had to ask for condiments more than once. Which I know takes the longest to cook so everything else probably sat in a window dying until that was done cooking. All was cold and inedible EXCEPT my boyfriends Country Fried Steak. Food arrived via food runner (?) expo person (?) while waitstaff chatted at the computer terminal. Took 10 minutes just to get drink order and another 10 just to get drinks. After we got sat, hostess(?) manager (?) at a dirty table with sticky and crumbs on the seats that got on my friends pants.

The only reason I didn't give this a full five stars is because I wasn't able to eat so I could not honestly tell you how the food was. All of the wait staff were masks although none of the patrons did. I'm impressed with the method that they use of turning the napkin container on its side with a sign that says "this table has not been sanitized", so that the cleaners know exactly where to go. I used the bathroom while I was here, and it was spotless, and anytime a table was emptied there was somebody right there cleaning it immediately. And the kids found plenty to keep them enticed. I was unable to eat because of multiple food allergies, but the rest of the people in my group said the food was good. We were able to get through the check-in line quickly, we were treated courteously, everything was clean, and the waitresses and waiters absolutely hustled! The young lady that helped our table was amazing she was personable, and she was kind to the children in our group. It was on the Sunday after Christmas, so it was very crowded. I was charged $4.69 for a veggie plate. My family got together for Christmas for the first time in years, and we came to Golden Corral because this is where our late mother used to love to eat. I said I will pay for what I ate but not the cold meatloaf. Since I didn’t eat it and she never brought me a new one. I asked if she took my meal off the ticket since it wasn’t cooked right. She never addressed what the kitchen was doing about my cold meatloaf. After about 10 she come by “everything good, well everything but your meatloaf “ and never says anything else. So I continue to eat my sides which were good waiting on her to come back or maybe the manager. When the waitress came back by I told her the meatloaf was lukewarm. Hubs ordered chicken fried steak and his was hot and good. Our waitress comes by and says (it’s 6pm) “I’ve been up since 9am and been here since 22. after us got got their drinks before our waitress came by. It took our waitress several minutes to come by, even tho they weren’t busy. We decided to give them a try since our usual place was closed due to the holiday. and, when paying, having to stand and wait and wait and wait for someone to show up to take our money, then she entered the wrong (lower) tip amount and could not change it, it was quite the experience the last time. I wouldn't want to wear a mask back there either, but if you're going to have one on (and/or you've been directed to wear one) and it doesn't cover your nose the entire time you are making/prepping food-and the other cook's mask was under her chin the entire time/each time she was back there-then just take it off. and our most recent visit had, unfortunately, a straight-shot view into the kitchen. the butter they send out for the great cornbread is still frozen, as it almost always is (thus unspreadable/unusable), but there've been more instances of part of our food not being up to temp, even parts being under or over cooked and not edible.

but in the last few months, things seem to be declining. am certain things in the restaurant business are difficult and challenging these days.

but some visits there have been, well, not so good. Japanese Restaurants for Families in Joplin.Hotels near (SGF) Springfield-Branson Regional Airport.Hotels near Bonnie and Clyde's Joplin Garage Apartment Hideout.Hotels near Joplin History & Mineral Museum.InterContinental (IHG) Hotels in Joplin.
